CoID x Research is a series of early morning breakfasts with short talks and presentations. The first breakfast will take place on November 20 (Friday) at 8:30-9:30 and will include talks about tangible interfaces and design that creates social value.

CoID x Research provides an opportunity for Master students to meet the researchers and PhD students of Aalto University and learn more about design research and its application. The event is organised by the CoID Community in the 8th floor kitchen area of Arabia campus and open to everyone.

Friday 20.11 Breakfast program

  • 8:30 Welcome Breakfast
  • 8:45 Jussi Mikkonen will talk about the opportunities for designers of applying emerging technologies and what are the impacts of design research on tangible interfaces.
  • 9:15 PAD Students will shortly introduce the collaboration with Riihimäki prisons and give an example of how design can create social value.
  • 9:30 closing
