The students created two concepts for enabling better communication and connection between Kinapori health services and the elderly. First concept, Nurse café makes the Kinapori nurse more visible and accessible by bringing her from her office in to a cafeteria area for an hour to talk with the elderly. In an unofficial chat, the nurse can find out if the person needs an actual appointment or for example guides him/her to peer-to-peer groups or other Kinapori services. The second concept, Greeting card from the nurse, acts as a tangible reminder of the nurse’s advice. The aim is that the nice image would end up on the wall or the fridge door instead of being forgotten in the pocket. It can also be used to support discussion with other health care workers or family.
